ERWEKA releases DT 950 Series Dissolution Systems powered by Disso.NET 4.6

Langen, July 12th, 2021 — ERWEKA GmbH is proud to announce the release of the new ERWEKA DT 950 dissolution systems powered by our latest Disso.NET software version 4.6. The software controlled, semi-automatic dissolution systems are the perfect entry to dissolution automation - no matter what type of system you want to run, from offline, to online to on-/offline with UV/ Vis or our HPLC system with fully automated, direct hand-off to the HPLC analysis. As part of our “Upgrade your DT”- program, every digital ERWEKA DT 950 series dissolution tester can be extended to a full dissolution system. With its unprecedented upgradeability, the DT 950 series with 6, 7, or 8 test stations, is ready for the requirements of today and challenges of the future.

Dissolution offline system powered by DT 950 Series and Disso.NET

Our Disso.NET software runs the dissolution test inside the DT 950 series dissolution tester, automatically takes samples using the ASS-9 automated sampling station and transports those samples to the FRL sample collector, where it gets stored in vials for later analysis (different vials available). The Disso.NET software manages the complete process on its own - once started, no manual interaction is required inside the software.

Dissolution online systems powered by DT 950 Series and Disso.NET

The ERWEKA dissolution online system is perfect for customers who want to take the first steps in automating their dissolution analysis workflow. Similar to the offline system, the Disso.NET software runs the dissolution test inside the DT 950 and takes samples using the ASS-9 automated sampling station, but instead of storing them in vials, it transports the samples directly to the connected UV/Vis spectrophotometer (several brands available) for immediate analysis. Evaluation is done directly inside Disso. NET, with full support for dissolution curves. With the help of the fully integrated Thermo Scientific Evolution 350 double-beam spectrophotometer, 5-minute cycles within a 150-nm range in the 190-1100 nm area can be tested and evaluated with high efficiency. In connection with the maintenance-free pump PVP 820, you can trust on highest reliability in dissolution testing.

Dissolution on-/offline system with UV-Vis powered by DT 950 Series and Disso.NET

To further increase dissolution automation, we offer the ERWEKA dissolution on-/offline system with UV/Vis. This system combines immediate UV/Vis analysis with an FRL 854 sample collector to store the samples after analysis. Disso.NET manages the full process, from the dissolution test to UV/Vis analysis to filling of the vials via the FRL sample collector.

Dissolution on-/offline system with HPLC powered by DT 950 Series and Disso.NET

The ERWEKA dissolution HPLC on-/offline system is the automatic solution to combine 100% USP/EP/JP-compliant dissolution testing with direct, automated HPLC online analysis. Controlled by our Disso.NET software, the dissolution sample is stored in an PAL RSI autosampler and gets fully automatically transported to the connected HPLC analysis without any manual interaction. Disso.NET then signals the HPLC software to start its HPLC analysis, even offering the possibility for HPLC dilution.

About the new Disso.NET

The latest version of Disso.NET comes with support for our DT 950 series dissolution tester, enabling it to be upgraded to the full range of semi-automated dissolution systems. It is 100% USP/EP-compliant, offering full data integrity with an audit trail and advanced user management. It manages both the data side of dissolution testing with methods, media, and UV/Vis evaluation, and takes full control of all connected devices. It even enables automation of the dissolution HPLC workflow.

Unlimited upgradeability with the DT 950 series

The DT 950 series can be upgraded throughout its complete product life cycle - from 6 to 7 or 8 test stations, with an automatic tablet drop or for an automated sampling station. The new design and high degree of modularity means that, for example, a 6-station standalone DT 956 can be easily transformed into the heart of a complete dissolution HPLC on-/offline system with 8 test stations and Disso.NET 4.6 software by your local service technician. This means that the DT 950 remains flexible throughout its entire instrument cycle - because who knows now what challenges we will be facing in a few years?
