Logan Instruments Demonstrates its Pillar of Innovation with Collaborative Project Initiatives
Logan Instruments’ 2018 is off to a great start, with consistent business focusing on one of the pillars of the organization: INNOVATION. This aspect of their business strategy is paramount in this industry. Where Logan feels they can separate themselves from the competition is in their willingness to accept challenges presented to them from customers. Challenges come in many different forms, but the focus here will be on collaborative projects with multiple customers that are leading to new systems that will soon be ready for sale in the industry.
One such instrument is Logan’s Disintegration Tester, which has a feature yet to be seen in physical testing. The feature can record exactly how quickly and in what manner an oral film strip disintegrates. This type of oral drug delivery is growing increasingly popular, and Logan Instruments has teamed up with an undisclosed customer in order to develop this system that will soon be available as part of its product line.
Other collaborative initiatives that have been mentioned in previous articles have continued to remain part of Logan’s product line, like the Logan Dry Heated 918 Transdermal/Topical System, which has real time temperature readings for individual cells and donor heated caps. These systems are next-gen Logan Dry Heated systems and are currently running in labs today as the FDA looks for more and more verification in transdermal/topical testing.
Finally, as the weather begins to heat up, so will Logan’s presence at trade shows and conferences across the US and Canada. Look for representatives and booths at Supplier’s Day in New York City (May 15-16), Microneedles 2018 in Vancouver (May 29-31), and Controlled Release Society’s annual meeting in New York City (July 22-24).
